This is a big hit at parties, and much less "inflammatory" than many other chili recipes.

This is the perfect recipe to have dinner ready and waiting when you get home from after-school soccer practice/violin lessons/whatever. It took me all of FIVE minutes to prepare. (I am not fond of it, but my kids loved the stuff.) If you're trying to eat less meat, this is a great way to get the hotdog flavor without so much hotdog, and without a bun (brown rice is much better for us than a processed white hotdog bun!) Plus, if you use buffalo hot dogs, you'll get a good serving of omega-3!

Buffalo is naturally high in omega-3 if it’s naturally grass fed (I wouldn’t recommend corn-fed buffalo: when did you ever see a buffalo in nature chomping on a corn cob?)

I’ve seen lots of variations of this recipe (my mom first told me about putting blueberries in turkey burgers), so feel free to add or subtract in whatever ways you find most interesting.

Most meatloaf doesn’t count as a veggie serving, but this one sure does, and no anti-vegetable kid even has to know!

I don’t create a lot of meat recipes, but organic pork is now available, and I know a lot of people who won’t eat veggies, but WILL eat meat. This recipe provides the meat…but with a whole lot of veggie power! Kids like the slight sweetness provided by the purple onion and bit of agave nectar (not traditional Chinese food ingredients!)

I loved my mom to make me chicken and dumplings when I was little, so in the search to find wheatless alternatives, I created this. It’s missing cute fluffy dumplings on top, but it does emulate the taste in the healthiest possible way. This is a surprising favorite.
